Planning a bachelorette party is no joke! The bride’s memory of her last fling rides on your back, and your ability to plan. To help you host a memorable, Insta-worthy get-together, we’re sharing our ultimate bachelorette party planning checklist. It features everything you need to take care of, 3 months leading up to the day of, to pull off a one-of-a-kind bach bash!
3 Months Out
Talk to the Bride - Before making any plans, talk to the bride! Ask if there is anything that she wants and does not want to do? Are there any requirements? Is there anything off-limits? Be sure to respect her decision to avoid any drama!
Set Up a Group Chat - A place where the bridal party, and anyone else the bride would like to invite, can talk. Make sure not to include the bride if you’re planning a surprise!
Set a Budget - Talk numbers. What is the average max amount that each person attending can afford? Make sure to include the cost of the bride, or to factor out anything the bride intends to cover herself.
Decide Local vs. Destination! - What kind of places and activities does the bride enjoy? Will you be able to visit these places or do these activities locally, or will travel be required?
Pick a Location - Decide on a specific location, such as a city. If travel is required, make sure to consider proximity to an airport. Or the drive time, which will need to be factored into your itinerary.
Set a Date - Get an idea of dates that will work for everyone. Consider creating a spreadsheet with viable dates, have everyone highlight the ones that work for them. Once everyone has input their dates, choose whatever is most convenient for the majority. Unfortunately, you will need to expect that these dates won’t work for everyone!
Book Lodging/Travel - Research and book overnight accommodations. We recommend Airbnb, to cut down on the cost of eating out. If you plan on flying or renting vehicles, book them now!

Research the Area - Start creating a general itinerary! Get to know the layout of the city and areas you may want to frequent, such as strips of bars. If there are specific activities you want to do that require a reservation, book them. If you are unsure of what to include or exclude, consult the group chat.
Choose a Theme - Talk to the bride to see if she has a specific theme in mind. If not, choose one that you think best suits the bride’s personality or her interests.
Order Any Gifts - If you plan on surprising everyone with a display of bachelorette weekend goodies, order them. Items like a small purse or fanny pack, drink koozies or cups, and sunglasses are always popular. Try to stay on theme!
Order Matching Clothing - If you plan to have any matching outfits, get them designed and ordered. Whether it be cute matching t-shirts or bathing suits!
Plan Some Games - Most of your weekend will be spent on the time, but have some games on-hand for downtimes. For example, ask the groom some basic questions about himself to quiz the bride! You’ll get some hilarious answers.
Order Decorations - Consult Pinterest for ideas and order any decorations. Make sure you will have enough time or people to get them set up before the bride’s arrival. Balloons are a must, and we recommend a photo wall for Insta-worthy pics!

Create an Official Itinerary - At this point, everything should be booked. Create a final itinerary and share it with the group so they know what to expect.
Pick Your ‘Fits - You’ll want to plan some of your bachelorette party outfits, especially for the bars. Let the group chat in on what to pack, what days they should plan to wear specific outfits, and so on. Typically the bride is expected to wear white, while everyone else wears black. One way to ensure she stand out is with a Custom Denim Jacket!
Give the Bride a Packing List - If the bride isn’t in on the plans, then give her a very specific packing list. Don’t leave anything out and answer any questions or concerns she may have - as long as it doesn’t ruin the surprise!
Organize Gift Bags - We recommend putting together your goody bags ahead of time - to avoid any last-minute stress! Pack them up in an easy-to-carry box that will fit compactly in your luggage or car.
Pack an Emergency Kit - You can only expect that a few mishaps and hangovers are going to happen. Pack a mini-emergency kit to save yourself the hassle of rushing around town between activities! Include essentials like Advil, Pedialyte powder, aloe for sunburns, bandaids, bobby pins, and so on.
Create a Music Playlist - You never know when a music playlist will come in handy! Make one for the long car rides, chilling in the hot tub, or relaxing beachside.
Create a Shared Album - Make sure everyone in the group has access to this folder, to easily share and save photos from your trip!
Print Your Tickets/Reservations - For the sake of convenience, print out any confirmations of your lodging reservations, travel tickets, and other bookings! While most everything is online nowadays, you never know when you may encounter a dead zone.
